RRDC Induction

In January of 2019, I was fortunate to be inducted into the Road Racing Driver's Club.  The RRDC is a tight knit group of current and former race drivers and motorsports industry executives.  In recent years, they have focused heavily on providing advice and resources to aspiring young race drivers and motorsports safety.

It's a tremendous honor to be in an organization with the likes of Roger Penske, Parnelli Jones, Skip Barber, Rick Mears, and Sir Stirling Moss.

The pre-Rolex 24 at Daytona dinner was exciting and amazing, with more than 200 of the most successful drivers and influential people in motorsports.  Our table had over 20 Indy 500 starts and a dozen Can Am series starts among drivers who raced against and for Carroll Shelby, Roger Penske, Bruce McLaren, and others.

The most notable member of the class of 2019 was Fernando Alonso.  The only advantage I can claim in a comparison with him is height.

I am grateful to be voted in as a member of the RRDC and look forward to helping with their Safe is Fast and other initiatives.
